We built your website.
Here's the story.

We design and build websites for local service businesses, then offer the finished site to the business. If one of ours showed up in your inbox or on a voicemail, this page is the full story. If you found us another way, the story still holds.

Your Business, Online

How this works

We build the site first. You decide if you want it.

1

We do the research.

We find local service businesses that don't have a website. We dig into the business: services, reviews, photos, the story you tell on Facebook or Google. It's the same research a careful customer would do before hiring you.

2

We design and build.

A real, custom website for your business. Not a template. Not a draft. A finished site, ready to go live.

3

Then we reach out.

We send you a link. You take a look, click around, decide if it fits. If it does, the price is on this page. If it doesn't, you owe nothing.

Why work this way? Because asking a busy owner to commit to a website they can't see is asking a lot. The leap of faith goes away if there's nothing to imagine. You see exactly what you're getting before you spend a dollar.

Why now

A website matters more than ever.

ChatGPT Claude Perplexity Google AI

For years, a small business could get by without one. A Google listing plus word of mouth was enough. That's changing.

People are searching with AI tools now. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google's own AI summaries pull answers from websites they can read and trust. A Facebook page or a Maps listing often doesn't make it into the answer. A real website does.

If your business doesn't have one, you're invisible to a growing share of the customers looking for what you do. The shift isn't finished, but it's well underway. The businesses with a website now will be the ones that show up. The ones without won't.

What's in the site

What you're looking at.

Custom-designed.

Built from scratch around your business. Your name, your services, your photos, your phrasing. Not a template.

Works on a phone.

Most of your customers will find you on their phone. The site looks and works the same on every screen.

Contact built in.

A working contact form and a tap-to-call number. Customers reach you in whichever way they prefer.

Yours in days.

The site is already built. If you want it, we can have it live on your domain within a few business days.

Who this is for

Honestly, who this is for.

We're not for everyone, and that's fine. Here's the gist.

Probably you, if:

  • You run a local business. Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, landscaping, cleaning, painting, lawn care, or any other type of service.
  • You don't have a website yet, or the one you have isn't doing you any favors.
  • A website has been on your list for a while, but kept getting pushed.
  • You like the idea of seeing the actual product before you commit.
  • You want a real person involved, not a template with your name swapped in.

Probably not, if:

  • You sell products online and need a full e-commerce setup.
  • You publish new blogs or new products often.
  • You want to be deeply involved in the design and rearrange sections as we go.
  • You need booking systems, customer accounts, or anything custom-built.

If the right column sounds like you, a full-service agency will serve you better. If the left column does, keep reading.

How we compare

Agencies are great. Just not for everyone.

Here's the honest difference between a full-service marketing agency and what we do. Both are right for the right business.

Full-service marketing agency

  • $5,000 and up for a simple site, plus monthly retainers
  • Weeks or months of discovery, design, and revisions
  • Built for businesses that need ongoing strategy, content, ads, and complex functionality
  • The right choice if you want a long-term marketing partner

The OnSite Co

  • $999 for the build, $35 a month to keep it live
  • The site is already built when we reach out
  • Built for businesses that just need a professional online presence
  • The right choice if you want a professional online presence, done well

Both models work. We exist because there's a real gap between what an agency is set up to deliver and what a lot of small businesses actually need. If we're not the right fit, an agency probably is, and we'll tell you so.

About

Hi, I'm Jack.

I run The OnSite Co out of central Minnesota. Before this, I spent years in marketing and business development on both sides of the table. I managed web projects for clients inside a marketing agency, then ran the website, content, and marketing for an e-commerce company. Most recently I worked in B2B sales at a manufacturer, where I learned how small businesses actually get sold to.

Most agencies aren't built to take a $1,000 project. Most DIY website builders won't get you a site you're proud of. I built The OnSite Co to sit in between, with one twist: the work happens before the conversation, not after. Skeptical owners shouldn't have to pay for a leap of faith. You see the site, and if it's right, it's yours.

If that sounds like the thing you've been looking for, let's talk.

FAQ

Common questions.

Why did I get a website from you?

Because we built one for your business and wanted you to see it. We work with local service businesses that don't have a website yet. Rather than ask you to imagine what we'd build, we just built it. You get to look at the finished thing before deciding anything.

How did you build a site for my business without talking to me?

We used what's public. Your Google listing, your reviews, your Facebook or Instagram, photos of your work that you've shared. It's the same research a careful customer would do if they were considering hiring you. Anything we got wrong, we'll fix.

What if some things on the site are wrong?

Tell us what's off and we'll fix it. Corrections to accuracy are encouraged, and they're part of how the model works. We give you a strong starting point and you sharpen the details.

Do I have to buy it?

No. You can look, ask questions, say no, all without owing anything. There's no obligation at any point.

What if I don't want it?

Tell us. We won't be offended, we won't keep emailing, the site comes down. End of story.

What's actually included in the $999?

Design, copywriting, build, mobile setup, working contact form, basic SEO setup, and domain registration in your name. One round of revisions for corrections and accuracy after launch.

What's not included?

E-commerce, online booking, customer accounts, blog setups, and anything that needs frequent content updates. Email is out of scope. We don't manage email accounts or domain email forwarding.

Do I own the site?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name from day one. The code, design, and content are yours. If you ever leave, we hand it over clean.

What does the monthly hosting actually cover?

Keeping the site online, fast, and secure. It runs on fast, modern infrastructure built for sites like this. The $35/month covers hosting, ongoing technical maintenance, security updates, and small text or image fixes from time to time.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Three-month minimum to start, then month-to-month after that. Cancel any time. If you go, the site goes with you.
